Janay Rice Interview: ‘Ray Told the Honest Truth’

Janay Rice continued supporting her husband in an exclusive interview on NBC’s Today show on Monday, claiming that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell didn’t tell the truth when he said Ray Rice was “ambiguous” about hitting her in an elevator.

“I know for a fact … that Ray told the honest truth that he’s been telling from February,” Janay said in the interview, according to the Associated Press.

The former Baltimore Ravens running back was arrested on Feb. 15 for third-degree aggravated assault, after the release of a video showing Rice dragging his unconscious then-financee out of an elevator. The two-game suspension was made indefinite, and he was immediately dropped from the team, after a second video was released on Sept. 8 showing him striking Janay in the face.

An arbitrator overruled Rice’s indefinite suspension on Friday, calling it “arbitrary” and an “abuse of discretion.” Four teams have since shown interest

Dwyane Wade will return to Heat Sunday vs. Knicks

Miami’s offense missed Dwyane Wade — he averaging 19.8 points a game, shot 45.5 percent from three (although mostly he is getting the looks he wants inside the arc), they move the ball better, and the Heat’s offense is 8.8 points better per 100 possession when he was on the court.

Make that is on the court. After missing seven games due to a hamstring injury Wade will be back on the court for Miami Sunday against New York, he announced after shootaround.

Smooth Waves Music

IMG_9639-2James Blake releases a brand new remix under his name Harmonimix the other day. Luckily, he remixed one of my favorite songs, The Gorillaz’s “Feel Good INC”. It is a very experimental and electronic rendition and should not be missed by any fan of either artist. Be sure to stream this track below and stay tuned for more information on James’ new album.

‘Nellyville’ offers viewers a different kind of family hustle

New Pittsburgh Courier

It was hard to have any real expectations for Nelly‘s new BET reality series, aptly entitled Nellyville. Nelly has never been one to volunteer private details of his life to the public—just ask Ashanti. And since it’s no longer 2003 and this is a family-focused show, one couldn’t have anticipated to see ass cheeks and sliding credit cards either.

There are other rappers who have featured their families on camera— T.I., Jim Jones, and Snoop Dogg to name a few—but their shows are far more lighthearted. Nellyville does have some humor, given Nelly has proven to himself to be quite the funny guy on Real Husbands of Hollywood. However, this show also deals with darker topics, and frankly, in a more mature way than other BET celebrity family reality shows like those starring Keyshia Cole.

This time around, Nelly is a single dad taking care of four kids:…
