PHOENIX (CBSDFW.COM) – Jerry Jones is speaking for the first time about his controversial decision to sign defensive end Greg Hardy last week.
“There’s no question Jason (Garrett) wants a team that is made up of the finest character players, and the finest talent you can have. The real world is you don’t get all of that,” said Jones at the NFL owners meetings being held in Phoenix this week.
Jones says as part of his one year contract, the team has an agreement that addresses Hardy’s domestic violence conviction last year and makes him accountable for his future actions.
