HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – The halftime ceremony to honor the Rockets’ back-to-back championship teams may have owned the night.
But James Harden owned the game.
The Beard finished with a career-high 50 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists as the Rockets beat the Nuggets 118-108.
Houston created separation in the second quarter, when a 12-4 run in the final 2:38 expanded the Rockets’ lead to a commanding 65-49 at the half. Harden scored 22 points and had seven rebounds with three assists in the first half.
The Rockets had as much as an 18-point lead in the third quarter.
