WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBS SF) — The popular dating app Tinder, often shrugged off as a hookup facilitator for twentysomethings, launched a premium addition that now charges based on the user’s age.
On Monday, Tinder included two new features in its paid app version: Rewind, allowing users to undo a left swipe which would indicate that they’re not interested, and Passport, allowing users to search for profiles in other geographic regions, in case they’d like to plan a hookup before traveling abroad.
But there’s a catch. Users in the U.S. will pay $9.99 for Tinder Plus if they’re under 30, and $19.99 per month if they’re 30 or older.
