Former ‘Power Ranger’ arrested for alleging stabbing roommate to death with sword

PALMDALE, Calif. (PIX11) — An actor who formally played a role in the children’s show “Power Ranger Samurai” has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing his roommate to death with samurai sword.

According to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, Ricardo Medina, Jr. — who also played the “Red Ranger” Cole Evans on “Power Rangers Wild Force — got into a fight with his roommate Joshua Sutter inside their Palmdale apartment.

Medina, 36, reportedly ran into his bedroom with his girlfriend, and Sutter followed and forced his way inside.

Medina then grabbed a sword he reportedly kept by his bed, and stabbed Sutter once in the abdomen.

Medina called 911 and stayed at the scene, according to police.
