MLK Kids Bible Lawsuit Halted For Settlement Talks



The children of the late Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr are starting to inch one step closer to ending their legal fight against each other. The slain civil rights leaders sons Dexter Scott and Martin Luther King III have been in a battle with their sister Rev. Bernice King over their father’s traveling Bible and 1964 Nobel Peace Prize medal. The Estate of Martin Luther King Jr Inc.,  where Martin III is the chairman and Dexter Scott is the president and CEO, went to court to have a judge force Bernice to hand over the items, after the board of directors last January voted 2-1 against their sister to sell. The Associated Press is reporting the siblings may be ending their disputes over their father’s possessions.
