Simonette DaCosta, former nanny to Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, is coming out with secrets about the famous former duo. She worked caring for the couple’s twins from October 2013 through late January 2014.
Page Six reports that Simonette was paid $3,000 to $3,600 twice monthly. She worked weekly “84 hours spread over seven, 12-hour days or 120 hours via 24-hour shifts over five days.” Simonette and her lawyer say that she was ultimately let go after becoming “too affectionate” with the twins. So, she got fired for being TOO good.
They say she worked “with no entitlement for breaks, for meals, and even for sleep … on call every hour of every day.” Now they’re seeking $100,000 for overtime payments.
The lawsuit is still pending, but Mariah’s rep says she “not comment on frivolous lawsuits.”
