For The Win

The Cavaliers came into Wednesday night’s home game against the Trail Blazers riding a seven-game winning streak, but the Cavs were without LeBron James, who is nursing a wrist injury.

James’ absence didn’t really matter,  because Kyrie Irving put up a career-high 55 points, shooting 11-of-19 from beyond the arc in a 99-94 win.

Irving finished the game 17-of-36 from the field (and a perfect 10-of-10 from the line), with five assists and four rebounds.

The game went down to the wire, but Irving scored 16 points in the fourth quarter, including a dagger 3-pointer and two foul shots with under 10 seconds. Irving was so confident with the game in the balance, he simply pulled up with a few seconds to spare on the shot clock and comfortably buried a three.

LeBron James was so happy he did a little dance.
