After A$AP Mob co-founder A$AP Yams’ death January 18 from unknown causes, his fellow A$AP Mob member, A$AP Rocky, spoke to media members and attendees at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Rocky was on hand to support the premiere of his acting debut, Dope.

‘People were saying that Yams overdosed on drug—he didn’t overdose on any drugs,’ Rocky said in an article filed by Alex Gale for Billboard.com. ‘I feel like people feel that way because that’s all he’s in pictures doing. When you see A$AP Yams you see Hennessy or purple drink, you see some type of controlled substance or illegal narcotic.’
