LaMarcus Aldridge decides to delay surgery, will return for Blazers Saturday vs. Wizards


LaMarcus Aldridge was diagnosed with a torn ligament in his left thumb, an injury that would require surgery, and one that was expected to sideline him for 6-8 weeks.

In a surprising turn of events, Aldridge has decided to delay surgery for now, and will return to the Blazers’ lineup in time for Saturday’s home contest against the Wizards.

BREAKING: LaMarcus Aldridge (ligament tear left thumb) puts surgery on hold; will play tonight versus Washington.

Sources: Aldridge tested thumb on his own and reported to Portland trainer on Saturday morning he wanted to play. This was his decision.
