#SOTU: ‘America,’ ‘New,’ ‘Jobs,’ ‘Time’ Stand Out In Obama’s State Of The Union Address Word Cloud

WASHINGTON, D.C. (CBS SF) — As the White House released the full text of President Obama’s State of the Union speech in advance as a way to improve public access and understanding, a few themes emerged quickly by entering the text into a Word Cloud applet that looks for which phrases and words are used most often and then represents that visually.

Using the Wordle app, America and Americans rank high, along with Years, New, and People. The heart of the real issues are seen in words that jump out like Economy and Jobs.
