(PIX11) — An Arizona woman who tried for a year to have a baby died Thursday just hours after she gave birth to quadruplets, KTLA reported.
At seven months pregnant, Erica Morales went to Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix to be treated for high blood pressure.
Morales ended up gave birth to three girls and one boy, but she died before she could meet her newborns, family friend Nicole Todman told KTLA.
The hospital would not disclose how Morales died, the Associated Press reported.
Todman created a page on GoFundMe to help raise money for the family and wrote that Morales and her husband Carlos tried for a year to have a baby.
Morales was finally able to become pregnant with the help of doctors, she wrote.
