Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota has declared for the NFL draft, the team announced Wednesday.
The 2014 Heisman Trophy winner finished his junior season with 4,454 yards passing and 42 touchdowns against just four interceptions. He also ran for 770 yards and 15 more scores.
The 6-foot-4, 219-pounder out of Honolulu is projected to be one of the top picks of the draft in April.
He spoke on his time with the Ducks and his future in football:
After meeting with my family I have decided to forego my final year of eligibility and apply for the 2015 NFL Draft. My four years at the University of Oregon have been an awesome experience.
